Precision Boot Camp

Vancouver Crosstraining & Crossfit

Join one of the toughest cross training workouts in the fitness arena: our Vancouver Cross Training class. This workout style is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Similar to the CrossFit philosophy, we aim to deliver fitness that is, by design, broad, general and inclusive. The program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual. The load and intensity is adjusted depending the individual’s ability level.

Our Vancouver Cross Training program follows CrossFit’s varied functional movement base, and an emphasis on optimizing physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains:

  1. Cardiovascular and respiratory endurance
  2. Stamina
  3. Strength
  4. Flexibility
  5. Power
  6. Speed
  7. Coordination
  8. Agility
  9. Balance
  10. Accuracy

Our trainers feel strongly that Olympic lifting should not be used as part of metabolic conditioning, so this is taught separately from the metabolic component. This allows a focus on technique and adequate recovery.

Precision Athletics Cross Training classes follow a schedule where workouts are different each session for 3-4 weeks before repeating. This creates variety for participants and a chance to compare their performance on each workout.

Cross Training by Certified Trainers

Our Vancouver Cross Training classes are taught and led by certified and experienced personal trainers. We have certified CrossFit coaches as well. The Precision Athletics team’s mission is to help every individual to achieve their health and fitness goals. To this end, we promote a highly professional and respectful training environment. We also offer other programs that achieve the end result of improved health. High intensity functional movement training is not the only way to improve fitness.

New to Cross Training?

For safety reasons and workout effectiveness, we monitor entry into Cross Training classes. If you don’t have experience with this style of high-intensity training, you are required to progress through a series of individual or group foundational training before taking part in a regularly scheduled class. Four one-on-one sessions of Cross Training foundation classes, or eight sessions of Beginner Cross Training* classes, will educate a new participant in proper technique and the programming style.

*Note: Beginners looking to graduate to the Advanced Cross Training & Fitness classes must participate in a minimum number of  beginner’s classes. However, those who display great proficiency may move up more quickly; this often includes participants with previous related fitness experience.
